Practical information > How to come to Aix-Les-Bains?The best way to come to Aix-les-Bains is probably by train. There are direct high speed trains from Paris (3h) and from Italy. You may also come from South and East of France, as well as from Swtizerland, via Valence, Lyon or Geneva and even from London, via the Channel tunnel and Paris (7h). Check: https://www.sncf-connect.com/
There are two international airports around: Lyon Saint Exupery (LYS) and Geneva (GVA). Both are convenient, but it seems there are more buses from Geneva. Check the connection with you plane on flixbus: https://www.flixbus.fr/ There are also trains coming from both LYS and GVA, check the French company: https://www.sncf-connect.com/ and/or the Swiss one: https://www.sbb.ch/fr A more convenient way could be to book a taxi for a group, it should cost ca. 100 €, close to 5 individual bus/train tickets. If you seek for cheap option, you may also check the French reference for online hitchhiking booking: https://www.blablacar.fr/
If you arrive by car, there are highway exits at Aix-les-Bains, whether you arrive from Lyon or Geneva.
