IAS Student travel grants

International Association of Sedimentologists (IAS) has generously agreed to support student travel to the upcoming 3^rd International Paleolimnology and Limnogeology Symposium in Aix-les-Bains, France, Oct. 6–10, 2025. Thank you IAS for your sponsorship!

Deadline: May 30^th, 2025

Only IAS student members who present at the meeting as first author are eligible for this award. Become an IAS student member at www.sedimentologists.org.

To apply for the grant, you will need to submit an abstract as first author to the symposium at the meeting website before May 30^th, 2025 at https://ialipa-2025.sciencesconf.org/.

Then, apply for the IAS student travel grant through their website before May 30^th, 2025, following the guidelines in the document: IAS Travel Grant Application Guidelines.

To apply, log in to your IAS member account, and then apply through the IAS Application for Travel Grants webpage.

The IAS will adjudicate the applications and inform the winners directly. Funds will be provided to the winning students who attend the conference in France in person, and who present either an oral talk or a poster.

If you are notified by the IAS that you have won a grant, remember to register for the meeting before July 23^rd, 2025 to ensure that you will be included in the program as a speaker or poster presenter.

After the meeting, students supported by the IAS will be asked to provide a short report (~1/2 to ~1 page) about your experience, along with one or two (happy!) photos to be used in future IAS publicity.
